Rules and Requirements
The Competition
Royal Maas International Competition is open to musicians of all nationalities.
The competition consists of a single round, and it is conducted fully online.
There are 6 age categories and diverse instrument categories.

Repertoire
Applicants are free to choose the repertoire for the competition.
This practice ensures that every applicant will have the opportunity to show their best potential through their performance.
The repertoire should be selected from one or more of the musical periods mentioned below:
• Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and 20th/21st century music periods
The repertoire should have a maximum duration of 25 minutes.
Only one video is required.
Application
Early Bird Application Option – Lower Application Fee!
Applicants who submit their application by July 14, 23:59h can benefit from a lower application fee.
• After filling in the required fields of the application form, the applicant will continue to the payment page to pay the required application fee.
Lower application fee – Apply by July 14

€136 for Chamber Ensembles
Standard application fee – After July 14

• €151 for Chamber Ensembles
Once the application form and fee are successfully submitted, the applicant becomes a participant in the competition.
If the applicant wishes to participate in more than one instrument category, a separate application form and application fee should be submitted for each instrument category.
Video
• The video (only audio is not acceptable) should be sent via a YouTube link.
• In the video, the applicant’s face and hands must be clearly visible (in the case of a vocalist: the face).
• The video must not be edited.
• It is allowed to combine more than one recording into a single video.
• The video should not exceed 60 seconds beyond the required time.
Announcement of the Results
The results will be announced on August 15, 2025, and the winners’ names will be published on the website.
Jury
Applications will be assessed based on musicality, technique, and artistic presence.
The jury evaluates the entries using a point system.
The highest point is 10.
The identities of the jury are undisclosed for privacy and impartial judging reasons.
The decision of the jury is final and cannot be appealed.
