Rules and Requirements
The Competition
- Royal Maas International Competition is open to all nationalities
- The competition is fully online
- It has 2 Rounds: First Round and Final Round
- The competition is open to the following instrument categories:

Schedule
- October 16 – Opening of the Applications
- November 17 – Deadline of the First Round
- November 20 – First Round results
- November 24 – Deadline of the Final Round application and payment of the application fee
- December 2 – Final Round results
Repertoire
- Free repertoire of choice from Baroque, Classical, Romantic and 20th/21st century music periods
- Duration: up to 25 minutes
- One video is required
- The same video can be used in the Final Round
- If the applicant wishes, it is allowed to submit a different video in the Final Round
Application
- The application must be submitted before November 17, 2024, 23:59h
- For the First Round, applicant must submit an application in the page titled ‘Free Entry’
- The selected candidates will get an invitation to participate in the final round
- For the Final Round, applicant must submit the Final Round application form and the Application fee – €89 (For Chamber music group, the Application fee is €139)
- The deadline for submitting the Final Round application form and the application fee is November 24, 2024.
- If the applicant wishes to participate in more than one instrument category, a separate application form and application fee should be submitted per each instrument category
Video
- Video (only audio is not acceptable) should be sent via YouTube link
- In the video, applicant’s face and hands must be clearly visible (in case of vocalist: the face)
- video must not be edited
- If the video is more than 60 seconds from the required time, the application may be considered invalid
Jury
- Applications will be assessed based on musicality, technique and artistic presence
- The identities of the jury are undisclosed for privacy and impartial judging reasons
- The decision of the jury is final and cannot be appealed
